2017 CONFERENCE
This event has traditionally brought together veterinarians from the Caribbean and beyond for a getaway packed with Continuing Education, exchange of ideas and experiences, fellowship and relaxation. The upcoming 2017 Conference, hosted by the Jamaica Veterinary Medical Association (JVMA), will take place under the theme “Moving Veterinary Medicine…Back to Basics and Beyond” and is expected to attract over one hundred participants from the Caribbean, the Americas and beyond.
Topics covered will include the traditional disciplines of companion animal and equine medicine and surgery, livestock, and poultry medicine as well as topics in exotics, aquatics, animal welfare, One Health, practice management, food security and public health. A special workshop about apiculture and alternative medicines is also being planned.
AAVSB RACE Accreditation
This program, 585-31024, is approved by the American Association of Veterinary State Boards (AAVSB) RACE to offer a total of 30.50 CE Credits (18.50 max) being available to any one veterinarian: and/or 15.00 Veterinary Technician CE Credits (13.00 max). This RACE approval is for the following subject matter categories:
Category One: Scientific
Category Two: Non-Scientific-Clinical
Category Three: Non-Scientific-Practice Management/Professional Development using the delivery method of Seminar/Lecture.
